European CCS Forum

26 October 2017 to 27 October 2017
SS Rotterdam

Join the Global CCS Institute at the European CCS Forum to be held on October 26th in Rotterdam. The Institute’s annual regional conference will consider the role of carbon capture and storage (CCS) in meeting  CO2 emission reduction targets and helping Europe to build a new energy economy.

The European CCS Forum facilitates knowledge sharing and provides a unique networking opportunity with global CCS experts and key decision makers from across Europe. The event will gather internationally renowned keynote speakers, senior government representatives, policy makers, industry members, regional experts, academics, and media commentators. The conference will also provide a platform to interact and gain the latest insights from Europe’s key CCS hub and cluster developments.

The Institute very proud to be welcoming both the CEO of the Port of Rotterdam Authority, Allard Castelein and the Director/Chairman of the Board of Technology Centre Mongstad Roy Vardheim to join senior government and project representatives from Europe's CCS clusters.
A definite highlight will be hearing from business leaders from the Oil and Gas sector as well as Government Advisors and NGOs discussing the value of CCS and how it is represented to key decision makers within their respective fields.
The Forum will end with an evening cruise and drinks reception through part of Europe’s largest port - the Port of Rotterdam. We will be joined by a very special guest speaker on the boat, she comes from outside of the CCS industry and will bring a fresh perspective to discussions.

All Global CCS Institute members are invited to join the EMEA Members' Meeting for breakfast on Friday morning (27th October). During the breakfast meeting, Institute Members will receive an update on the organisation’s new strategy, its current work and activities. The meeting will also cover the latest findings of the Institute’s Global Status of CCS Report 2017.

Registration for both these events is required. Register your attendance on our Eventbrite page here
